Terrain
In connection with the renovation of Nationalmuseum the studio was commissioned in 2017 to design highly functional and practical pedestal tables for the restaurant. The architect’s idea was to create an ambience of “work in progress” having the museum and its creative content and context as a starting point.
Inspired by topographic models used by architects, a seemingly random shape of the base was created. In numbers the asymmetrical bases (a.k.a. islands) help to give subtle expression to the restaurant space. The Terrain tables are produced in collaboration with Swedese.
