Smile
When working with products for learning environments the studio always aims to represent the views of the children. Their needs are always the priority. The classroom chair Smile is a good example, improving learning ability by affirming differences and self-empowerment. Making it possible, for example, for the child to adjust the seat height with ease — not being dependent on a grown up with tools for adjustment (which never happens). The chair conforms to the latest research and recommendations on learning environments and ergonomics, the construction and the shape of seat and back allowing circular movement.
The saddle shaped seat creates an active seating position. The seat and back have rubber bushings — allowing movement and preventing noise. The chair was developed over four years — a book could be written about the development of this product — and finally released in 2018.
