In the solo exhibition at Eskilstuna Art Museum I moved on in the discussion on communicating design and the surface of objects. I created a scenery of furniture where the surface is dissolving and the shape seems unpleasantly simple and unfinnished. The question is if something is beeing built or broken down? Construction or deconstruction? And when are object starting to be functional? The installation was lit by a naked light bulb swinging closely to the floor creating moving shadows on the white walls. Making the dead objects almost come to life. Project assistant: Anders Björklund (leather work) Photo: Fredrik Sandin Carlson |
